Location : The Corbett National Park is located in the foothills of Himalayas, in the northern Indian state of Uttranchal.

An Overview : Once the hunting ground of the British, Jim Corbett National Park was set up in 1936 with the help of World Wildlife Fund. It was named in the honor of the famous hunter and naturalist Jim Corbett who contributed a lot in setting up the park. It has a wide varieties of plant and animal species including the majestic tigers, leopards and elephants. In the year 1973, the park came under the "Project Tiger Scheme" to preserve the population of tigers. It is the first national park of India to come under this project.

Wildlife Attractions : The Corbett National Park is home to a large number of wildlife species including 110 tree species, 50 mammal species and 580 bird species.

» Flora - A major portion of the park consists of trees like Sal, Chir, Anauri, Bakli, Bamboo, Haldu and several others.
» Fauna - The park is popular for its population of Bengal Tiger and elephant. Other wildlife in the park includes leopard, small indian civet, Indian Gray Mongoose, Common Otter, Jungle Cat, Sloth bears, Black naped grey hare, Langur, Sambar deer, Barking deer, Porcupine etc.
» Avi-fauna - Corbett has around 580 bird species including Crested kingfisher, Darters, Eagles, Hornbills, Barbets, Peacocks, Sandpiper, Ducks, Jungle fowl and many more. Its rich bird life makes it one of the popular bird watching spots in India.

DAY 1   : Depart Mumbai to Delhi by Golden Temple at 21.25 pm.

DAY 2   : Arrive at Delhi at 18.30 pm. Board train to Ramnagar at 22.30 pm.

DAY 3   : Arrive at Ramnagar at 06.30 am. and depart for Dhikala by road. Evening safari.

DAY 4   : Morning safari. Evening safari.

DAY 5   : After morning safari depart to Nainital by bus / jeep. Naini Devi darshan. Night halt at Nainital.

DAY 6   : Visit highest point of Nainital by Ropeway. Depart for Kathgodam to board
             Ranikhet Express at 22.30 pm.

DAY 7   : Arrive at Delhi and proceed to New Delhi to board train to Mumbai by Golden Temple Express.

DAY 8   : Arrive Mumbai at 06.00 am.

PERIOD : 30th May to 6th JUNE 2012
             ( Similar program can be organised for your group of minimum 6, 12, 18, 24 & 30 people )

Things to bring along : Back sack, water bottle, cap, canvas shoes, slippers, bed sheet, hanky / napkin,
2 pairs of extra clothes, torch, soap, towel, tooth brush, tooth paste, and binocular.
